Specimen Collecting Kit

A pocket-sized field kit for children who are always coming home with something important. We chose it because it takes that wonderful instinct to collect, inspect, and remember the natural world—and gives it proper tools. Tiny glass specimen bottles, stainless tweezers and specimen pins turn feathers, stones, seed pods, shed wings, and other small discoveries into a real little natural history collection. Each kit is meticulously assembled by hand in June & December’s Michigan studio, and nearly everything inside is made to be used again and again.

It lends just enough seriousness to the business of exploring. Suddenly the pebble from the trail isn’t just a pebble; it’s Specimen No. 4, and everyone in the car is expected to treat it accordingly.
