Klaus Mader made a lathe-turned spinning top as a gift for his wife Margit, and that single gesture grew into a full workshop. Since 1991, Mader Kreiselmanufaktur has been turning out roughly 150 variations of spinning tops in upper Austria, all from regional hardwoods. This large Rallye striped top is designed and manufactured there using coloration methods guaranteed colorfast for a century. Every original Mader top carries a burned equator line as its signature.

Give it one good launch and it'll hum along. Walk away. Come back later and it's still going, outlasting your attention span by a solid margin. Eventually it'll slow, wobble, tip, and lie there peacefully. You will absolutely spin it again.
