They drive Pennsylvania back roads tracking down Amish craftspeople still using old methods: basket weavers, quilters, blacksmiths, toymakers. This laundry basket is handwoven by Amish makers using seagrass roping, wood, willow, and reed. Full-grain leather handles, solid brass hardware, brass nameplate you can customize with up to 22 characters. Every stitch and rivet gets looked over before it ships. Made in Pennsylvania.

If you customize the brass plate with your name, the basket becomes 40% harder to abandon during a move. Probably ends up holding blankets for six months before someone remembers laundry was the original plan, then briefly serves as storage for every extension cord in the house, then goes back to laundry duty once the cords strangle themselves into a knot no one wants to deal with.
