We chose this ring stacker because it turns everyday objects into specimens worth collecting, organizing, and defending with the kind of seriousness usually reserved for important meetings.

SABO concept is Elena and Dmitriy, a designer and a woodworker based in Poltava, Ukraine, who believe it is possible to impact the world through well-organized lines, forms, and colors. They make toys from wood instead of plastic, choosing muted earthy tones so children understand the beauty and complexity of the world — not limited by the usual suspects. This one helps develop coordination and fine motor skills. Children learn sizes and notions bigger, smaller, under, above, higher, lower. They build towers, roll the rings and catch them, use them as templates for drawing circles, and use them in imaginative play as islands, paths, boats, plates, wheels, or anything they imagine. The kind of thing that turns a Tuesday afternoon into an expedition where every ring is Specimen No. 4 and extremely rare.

Give it ten minutes and the rings will be everywhere except the post — one under the couch, two in the dog's bed, one being used as a very important steering wheel. That's not chaos. That's a collection in progress.
