This is the kind of toy we hope gets better with age. We chose the Horse Stable for its craftsmanship first: a sturdy, beautifully made solid wood structure with real weight to it, six individual stalls, and hinged doors little hands can open and close a thousand times. It has enough architectural detail to feel like a real place, but stays wonderfully open-ended—ready for horses, farm animals, tiny people, or whatever else needs shelter by nightfall.

Naturally, the horses will not always stay in their stalls. One will live on the roof, another will be declared “the baby,” and someone will almost certainly turn the whole thing into a veterinary clinic before lunch. That’s exactly why we like it.
