A children’s rug that doesn’t feel like it belongs only in a children’s room.

Lorena Canals takes a traditional tartan and softens it into quiet shades of Blue Sage, Vintage Blue and Ochre — enough pattern to make a room interesting, but gentle enough to live happily with everything else in it. The tufted cotton gives it real texture underfoot, while small fringed details keep it feeling warm and a little old-fashioned in the best way.

And because beautiful things in children’s rooms still have to survive actual children, the entire rug is machine washable. It’s handcrafted by artisans in India using natural fibers and non-toxic dyes, so it feels like something worth building a room around rather than replacing when childhood inevitably happens to it.
