A marble run you have to think through, not just build up.

Cuboro’s solid wooden cubes are cut with channels, openings and hidden tunnels, so the marble can disappear inside the structure and emerge somewhere else entirely. Building a good run becomes part construction project, part puzzle: working out height, direction, momentum and how all those invisible passages connect.

The Standard 50 is the large starter set and includes the central building pieces of the Cuboro system. There’s enough here to build simple runs at first, then increasingly elaborate structures as children begin to understand what each cube can do.

Made in Switzerland from untreated Swiss beech, the cubes are beautifully precise, substantial in the hand, and designed to last for generations. Even better, Cuboro has kept the system compatible since 1986, so new expansion sets can be added to an old collection decades later.

One of those rare toys that gets more interesting as the person playing with it gets better.
