Tracksmith was founded in 2014 in Massachusetts at the halfway point of the Boston Marathon, built around the idea that the serious amateur runner — the Running Class — deserves gear designed with the same care as the pros get. The Session Hat is a paneled running cap with a flat brim, mesh lining, and an adjustable strap. The shell is 90% nylon and 10% spandex; the lining is 100% polyester with a built-in sweatband. Finished with Tracksmith's signature sash across the front panel, an embroidered reflective hare (Eliot, their logo, commissioned from British illustrator Gary Chalk) at the back, and an adjustable strap with a buckle and racing stripe detail.
Adjustable strap means it fits, then gets tighter when you remember you wore it through a sweaty long run and forgot to loosen it before tossing it in your gym bag. Racing stripe on the strap does nothing for speed but at least commits to the bit. Wear it running or wear it to buy coffee after running so everyone knows you run, or wear it because you like hats and nobody checks credentials at the door.
