Tracksmith started in 2014 at the halfway point of the Boston Marathon in Wellesley, Massachusetts, built around the idea that non-professional runners — the Running Class — deserve gear made with the same care as the pros get. They opened the Trackhouse on Newbury Street in 2017 as a retail store and community hub, and they've been making functional, well-considered running gear ever since. These tube socks are calf-length and built from 56% merino wool, 41% polyamide, and 3% elastane. Reinforced rib band keeps them positioned correctly. Open pique mesh on top of the foot for breathability. Mid-pile terry in the heel and forefoot for cushioning where you need it. Athletic striping because stripes belong on running socks. Available in sizes XS through L, covering shoe sizes Men 4-12 and Women 6-14.

Merino wool costs more than cotton because sheep require salaries, union benefits, and a comprehensive dental plan. Worth it to avoid that specific synthetic-sock smell that announces you've been running before you even open your mouth.

  • 56% merino wool, 41% polyamide, 3% elastane
  • Calf-length tube sock for running
  • Reinforced rib band for support and proper positioning
  • Open pique mesh on top of foot for breathability
  • Mid-pile terry cushioning in heel and forefoot
  • Athletic striping
  • Sizes XS-L (Men 4-12, Women 6-14)
  • Merino wool regulates temperature without the synthetic funk
  • Polyamide reinforcement means these won't disintegrate after two wash cycles
  • Tube sock construction eliminates the left-right guessing game that nobody wins at 5 a.m.
  • Striping purely decorative, but awesome
