Paring Knife | 3.5" Blade | German Stainless Steel | Linen Micarta Handle

$64.95
Handle color Black
1

A 3.5-inch paring knife handcrafted in Solingen, Germany by Messermeister, the only fully women-owned and operated knife company in the world. The blade is made from Thyssen-Krupp 1.4116 German stainless steel with a ceramic stonewash finish, hand-finished with a 3-stage 15-degree edge, flat grind, and 57 HRC hardness. The linen micarta handle is ambidextrous and built around Messermeister's signature demi-bolster construction — introduced in 1992 to let you sharpen the entire edge from heel to tip, not just part of it. Still made using hot-drop hammer forging, one of the few companies anywhere still doing it the traditional way. The family that runs it has been at this for over 40 years, first as distributors, then as designers who decided German knives could be sharper if someone just polished the edge to 15 degrees instead of settling for whatever everyone else was doing.

Small enough to fit in your hand without drama. Sharp enough that you'll stop mangling cherry tomatoes and start slicing them like a functional adult. Linen micarta doesn't care if you leave it wet on the counter, which frankly puts it ahead of most houseguests.
