Fagus Car Transporter

A wooden car transporter that actually works like one.

The upper level folds down into a ramp so cars can drive on and off, while a knob on the cab turns the front wheels for steering. It comes with one Fagus Speedy car and two wooden figures, with plenty of room to load a few more vehicles for the trip.

Like all Fagus vehicles, the real beauty is in the construction. The truck is made from solid beech and assembled with carefully fitted wooden joints, dowels and glue rather than nails or screws. Even the movement and connections are engineered with wood wherever possible. It’s an unusually thoughtful way to build a toy—and you feel it immediately in the weight, movement and durability of the finished truck.

This is the kind of vehicle that invites a lot of play, but also rewards looking closely at how it was made.
