SABO concept makes wooden toys in Poltava, Ukraine — a husband-and-wife operation pairing Elena's design sense with Dmitriy's woodworking. This handheld rattle is beech finished with beeswax oil and linden painted with water-based paints. They skip plastic entirely, building toys meant to be felt as much as looked at. The result is a palm-sized object that balances the past and present — simple, minimal, and thoughtfully made for the people who put everything in their mouths.

Grip it. Shake it if that seems like the move. Set it down and pick it up again when you remember it exists. At no point will it require batteries, an app update, or your opinion on whether wood counts as enrichment. It just sits there being wooden until someone decides otherwise.
