Protecting the wonder
of childhood.
The magic is already there. We choose things that leave room to imagine, learn by doing, and make the world feel a little bigger.

What is Rarely Young?
Rarely Young is Rarely’s children’s collection: a carefully edited shop for play, adventure, rest, rooms, books, and family life. The common thread is not age or trend. It is whether the object adds something meaningful to childhood.
How do you choose what belongs here?
Slowly. We look for things that leave room for a child to do something with them — to imagine, build, move, explore, learn or simply enjoy. Good materials and thoughtful design matter too, but the product has to add something good to childhood.
Why don’t you organize everything by age?
Because childhood is more fluid than a number on a box. We include sensible maker guidance where it matters for safety, but we would rather help families shop by interest, maker, and the kind of experience a product creates.
Are these only toys?
No. Childhood is also backpacks by the door, blankets on the couch, first bicycles, books before bed, things collected on a walk, and useful tools held in small hands. Rarely Young is built around childhood, not around a toy aisle.
Why does Rarely Young carry fewer things than a typical children’s store?
Because children do not need a room full of things to have a beautiful childhood. We would rather offer fewer choices we genuinely believe in — things that are useful, imaginative, well made, and worth giving.
